What’s better than green, open space in the city?

For you outdoorspeople who can’t escape to the backcountry every weekend, it’s time to turn to your urban recreation areas. Parks that are close to home can add a much-needed splash of green to any concrete jungle.

Billed as an ‘elevated park-rail trail’, the High Line was designed to repurpose an old piece of NYC’s rail system and make it into something equal parts accessible and beautiful.
